BlinkTag
Privacy policy
Effective 9 September 2026 · Applies to BlinkTag 1.0 and these support pages.
BlinkTag is provided by Steven Hood. The game works on your device, without an account, advertising or analytics. We do not receive your game photos, player names or scores.
Camera and photos
BlinkTag uses the camera, with your permission, for game photos and optional player profile pictures. It does not record microphone audio. Only photograph people who agree to participate.
Information stored on your device
Player names, optional profile photos, game settings and player statistics can be stored within the app. Round photos are used for gameplay and review; a photo chosen as a profile picture may be retained between sessions. These are not uploaded to a developer-operated server or shared with advertising or analytics providers.
The optional experimental face scan, where supported, detects faces locally in a game photo so players can score it manually. It does not identify people or send face information to us. Manual scoring works without face scanning.
Retention and removal
Saved profiles can remain between sessions. Resetting a game does not necessarily erase all profiles. To remove all local app data on iOS, delete the app; offloading it can retain data. Device backups may retain or restore app data according to your Apple backup settings. We cannot access or delete data stored only on your device.
Your choices
Profile photos are optional, and you can use nicknames. You can withdraw camera permission in iOS Settings, although camera gameplay then becomes unavailable. BlinkTag does not track you across apps or websites.
Children
BlinkTag is designed for shared play. Children should play with an adult’s permission and supervision. Player information is not sent to the developer.

When you visit, Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address, requested page and browser details to deliver and protect the site. These pages have no advertising, analytics scripts or contact forms added by us. Cloudflare may use security-related cookies where needed; see its privacy policy. Reading the bundled pages inside the app does not require contacting the website. Following an external link or sending email uses the relevant external service.
